Fire alarm installation in Austin is not just a field-installation project. New construction, remodels, changes in use and other work may require fire-system plan review and inspection by the Austin Fire Marshal's Office. Austin Fire lists fire alarm systems among the fire-system inspection types required for applicable construction projects.
We help coordinate the fire alarm portion of the project, including drawings, equipment submittals, calculations, sequence of operations, monitoring information and responses to reviewer comments.
Austin building owners do not always need a full replacement. We first determine whether the existing system can be repaired, expanded or modernized. Existing wiring, notification circuits, detectors, modules or power supplies may be reusable when they remain compatible, serviceable and appropriate for the approved design.
For obsolete or unreliable systems, we can develop a phased replacement strategy instead of replacing everything unnecessarily.
Schools, healthcare facilities, assisted living, multifamily, restaurants and other specialized occupancies can have additional requirements based on occupancy, licensing and the adopted code. We plan those projects around the specific use of the building instead of applying one standard design to every property.
