How It Works

  • Readers & Wiring: Readers typically use 22/6. A green LED indicates valid credentials and door unlock.
  • Not Every Door Needs a Reader: Doors can be opened remotely via app with authorized permissions.
  • Dual Credentials: We recommend at least one side or back door support card/fob and 6–8 digit PIN.
  • Credential Types: Cards, fobs, badges, phones (mobile credentials), and PIN codes.

  • Controller: Brivo OnAir ACS300 (2-Door PoE Access Controller).
  • Power: Altronix power supplies with selectable 12V/24V and optional battery backup.
  • Re-use Existing: We can often reuse strikes, mag locks, readers, modules, credentials, and power supplies.

Integrations with Video & Alarms

Avenger Security integrates Brivo OnAir with Eagle Eye Networks cloud video surveillance to attach door video clips to activity logs and enable remote unlock from the video interface. Valid access-control credentials can disarm the intrusion system, and we can configure door prop / forced-entry alerts with UL-listed monitoring.

Access Control FAQs

Do all doors need a reader?

No. Authorized users can open doors via the Brivo app. Readers are placed where ongoing badge/PIN entry is needed.

Can I use my phone as a credential?

Yes. Mobile credentials are supported. We also offer dual-factor with card/fob + PIN for added security.

Will you reuse my existing equipment?

In many cases, yes—we can reuse locks, readers, door contacts, REX sensors, and power supplies from legacy systems.

How do I get started?
